Hosted by The Consorzio di Tutela Barolo Barbaresco Alba Langhe e Dogliani, Barolo & Barbaresco World Opening - BBWO - is a unique occasion to learn more about the two iconic red wines of the UNESCO World Heritage Site listed Langhe region, as well as the most distinctive and noble grape variety of this region, Nebbiolo. In addition to acclaimed Barolo DOCG and Barbaresco DOCG selections, this event features the latest releases of the highly renowned Langhe wines from nearly 160 producers. Barolo & Barbaresco wines are some of the most sought after fine wines around the world and are produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. Age-worthy and complex, they reflect the micro-nuances of a multifaceted and complex terroir and are proud ambassadors of a long history of production in Piedmont. Through a series of tasting and educational opportunities, the Consorzio di Tutela Barolo Barbaresco Alba Langhe e Dogliani intends to build excitement over these acclaimed appellations in the United States market. BBWO will include a dedicated walk-around tasting, as well as unique opportunities for press, and trade to delve deeper into the world of the King and the Queen wines of the Langhe region.
