Descorchados Tour of South America

Join us on Tuesday, June 10th at Home Studios for an unforgettable trip to American wine country south of the Equator without leaving New York City as we taste the wines of Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Peru & Uruguay. Curated by the South American wine expert Patricio Tapia and his groundbreaking guide, Descorchados, this tasting will feature 180 wines representing the best these incredible regions offer.

First released in 1999 and inspired by classic wine guides such as Hugh Johnston’s Pocket Wine Book, Descorchados represents a comprehensive overview of the wines released in the given vintage. With twenty-five years of tasting approximately six thousand wines from over six hundred wineries yearly, Patricio has a truly panoramic view of the South American wine scene. This tasting will feature wines and terroirs that are truly iconic and show the evolution of these wines as they move to grown on the world stage.

Bonus for Chilean wine lovers: later that afternoon in the same building, there will be a Chile Pacífico event organized by Wines of Chile (WOC) taking place from 3:00–7:00 PM in Studio 2. It will include a Chilean Pisco Bar (featuring six producers), the Humboldt Bar with twenty top Chilean wineries, and even an Antarctic Sashimi Bar showcasing only Antarctic salmon.
